Photographer. Teacher. Student Advocate.

When I was a senior in high school, I took my best friend’s senior photos. It was fun, we goofed around and got some cool photos to add to her collection for her grad party. I went to college to become a social studies teacher and as soon as I started applying for my first job as a teacher, I thought that I would fill my summers taking senior portraits. One of the best skills a good teacher has is the ability to connect with their students. As I have grown as a teacher, I’ve also been able to grow as a senior photographer. I spend our limited amount of time together getting to know your interests, your school experience, your dreams for your future, and how you see yourself.

It’s my job to showcase your true personality in your photos. That’s what your senior photography experience should be about. It shouldn’t be about the stress that you feel as you approach a busy year with a long list of things you need to do before you graduate. It shouldn’t add to the stress that is already on your plate. I do everything that I can to make the process for you as simple as possible. I’ll make recommendations about how to select outfits, where we should go for your photos, and even how to pick the best photo for the yearbook. (Did I mention that I also help my small school create an epic yearbook every year?) Together, we will have a fantastic adventure capturing your senior portraits that are the perfect balance of fun, personal, and perfect for your yearbook submission.

I believe that every senior should have every picture that turns out from their session. That's why I do not cap my image delivery to a certain number of photos. Instead, I spend time making sure we get everything right so you have lots of photos you love in your final gallery.
